Guide to get started Slash Steve / Tony (Cap. America / Iron Man)
I passionate about many couples (slash, femslash and het) in various fandoms, but if I'm being honest I must admit that none of them could be called a OTP. I loved Gaara / Lee (Naruto), but I've never had trouble writing or reading Gaara / Naruto, or even Gaara / Sakura. I am still very fond of Galahad / Mordred (Arthurian legend) which is the closest thing to my OTP although even there I had fun experimenting with Mordred / Geneva and Mordred / Cerdic.
Before you know Marvel had never had a true OTP, one of those inseparable couples, I'm talking about Tony (Anthony) Stark and Steve Rogers, who are perhaps better known as Iron Man and Captain America.
My mind can not conceive them separately.
I am writing this because soon it will come out (like almost everyone we know) the film and Captain America for some time came the two films Iron Man and I felt the need to reassure the slash fangirl : those two will appear together in a film of Avengers.
But first things first.
Firstly this is not a manifesto but a guide to help potential fans to follow or be interested in / torque. The Manifesto

What?
Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are two Marvel characters who have their heads but are part of a team called the Avengers (Avengers). They have adventures and then they appear solitary adventures as a team.
and where to find
Marvel Comics Marvel are many, many. Surely you've heard of X-Men and Spider-man and even the Fantastic 4. Perhaps what you do not know is that all the Marvel comic books belong to the same universe (hence the ease of crossover in which the X-Men meet the Fantastic 4, Spider-Man enters the Avengers etc.). This universe (born thanks to the creative genius of Stan Lee in the '60s about) is called 616 and is still "active".
This little guide is just the universe but 616 is not alone. There are several AU (Alter Universes), although the only two that affect the slash Steve / Tony are
Ultimate : alternate universe created recently to help new readers of Marvel.
Marvel Adventures (MA) : I am a complete series of comics created for young people and then decisamenre less violent / gory / complicated comic universe 616. In particular Marvel Adventures: Avengers is the set of 39 numbers on the Avengers (where the slash is full but we will return later).

Who is IRON MAN
Anthony Stark is the son of industrialist Howard Stark and his wife Maria. Anthony, Tony said, is proving an extremely intelligent guy and he graduated at age 15. A new step forward we have with the Extremis. Extremis is a project to create a super-soldier but was stolen by a group of terrorists. Recovering Extremis, Tony suffers life-threatening injuries and decided to undergo the injection of Extremis itself, perhaps the only thing that could save it. With Extremis Tony's body completely healed enough to no longer have need of external energy or peacemaker. In addition, his brain is capable of both remote call penetrate the armor in any technology environment.

Tony manages to escape and download a virus on Extremis able to destroy all information that is stored in his brain to prevent Osborn put his hands on that list. Tony
slowly begins to remember names, facts and events and is eventually captured by the enemy in combat Osborn that reduces it into a coma.
But it's over. Stark has created a way to implement a "reboot" of his brain and left a message instructions unfailing friend and secretary Pepper Potts. Donald Blake (Thor's alter ego), Steve Rogers (recently returned to life), Pepper and other associates of Tony can bring him back but the "reboot" Tony Stark is incomplete and does not remember anything of what is success by the Civil War on (which takes care gap to bridge the Internet and reading newspapers). Meanwhile, Norman Osborn
organized an attack on the mythical city of Asgard and Tony Stark, Iron Man again, helps others to defeat the Avengers Osborn.
Because of the consequences of entry, the U.S. president decides to abolish it, and so begins what is called the Marvel Heroic Age (Age of heroes) in which Steve Rogers recruits Tony Stark in his new team of Avengers.
Who is CAPTAIN AMERICA
Steve Rogers was born July 4, 1920 son of Irish immigrants Sarah and Joseph Rogers. Joseph died when Steve was just a baby while Sarah contracted bronchitis shortly after the killing. Soon Steve is in contact with pictures and news of the war in Europe and the atrocities committed by the Nazis.
Driven by a spirit of patriotism and determination to do something concrete for the world, Steve decides to join the army but was soon discarded because of its slender body and his fragile health.
General Chester Phillips, however, learns of his determination and decides to do to participate in a top-secret U.S. project to create super-soldier mean the rebirth (Rebirth). Thanks to the serum of Dr. Abraham Erskine, Steve Rogers takes enormous physical strength and combative, including a higher than normal. Unfortunately Abraham Erskine is killed before he wrote the formula of the serum on paper and Steve Rogers is the only super-soldier.
Now begins his training and three months after Steve participated in his first mission and met the man who will become his greatest enemy: Red Skull (Red Skull).
As opposed to the symbolic importance of the Nazi Red Skull, Steve Rogers is given a uniform red, white and blue Captain America and his legendary shield Vibranium (used for both defense to offense).
During the Second World War, Steve (also known as "Cap") fights along with Namor, the android Human Torch (not to be confused with the Human Torch of the Fantastic Four) and his friend James Bucky, becoming a symbol of American freedom and patriotism.
On April 18, 1945, Steve receives a mission to stop a bomb of Baron Heinrich Zemo, but things do not go as planned. Bucky is apparently killed and Steve Rogers is left in the cold Arctic waters.

But before he died he wrote a letter to Tony to ask him to "save" Bucky and give him the mantle of Captain America because the United States needed a Captain America, it was Steve or not. Tony

Alongside Tony, Thor, Avengers, New and old and young, defeated and arrested Steve Osborn and his band of Dark Avengers.
Given the problems caused by Osborn and the Dark Avengers, the U.S. president announces the Registration Act and gives it to Steve Rogers was appointed head of security. James Bucky maintains its role as a new Captain America when Steve Rogers, now Captain Steve Rogers, thoughtful reorganization of the Avengers, the first thing to have Tony Stark and Thor to your side.

People fanfictions of my favorite (for searches with tags)
- Resurrection, Reconstruction & Redemption (followed by readjustment , Hostages to Fortune and Reassembled ). This is the fanfic that made me become a Steve / Tony fangirl. The story is very long, very well written, original and full of surprises. All the characters are delineated with great skill (so much to the envy of some comics I've read the Avengers). The fanfic starts immediately after the Civil War, after the death of Captain America.
- No Right Words . In the comic style here Tony faces an angry girlfriend. Steve decides to intervene when the girl decides to break with Tony.
- Gay Marriage . Short story in which Steve finds the legalization of gay marriage. Entertaining and definitely fluff.
- Lethewards . Long fanfic that starts from the rise to power of Osborn and the creation of HAMMER. The story is mainly focused on Tony and his difficulties with Extremis and depression. Final Steve / Tony assured.
- The Roughest Day . Steve has a motorcycle accident. Tony has a cold. A great disaster divinely written by the authors of Resurrection, Reconstruction & Redemption with plot twists and great characters.
- I never . The Avengers play alcoholism (in this case non-alcoholic) game of "I never-" and you'll discover surprising (but then not so) new on their privacy.
- Momentary Paws (OR DO NOT WANT) . Classic cliche in which a character (Tony) is transformed into a kitten. Extremely delicious, extremely funny and extremely fluff (but not without plot).
